Temporary Brow tattooing
What are Henna Brows and how does it work?
Henna has been around since Ancient Egyptian times, and used to dye everything from hair, to materials and skin.
Henna Brows is a temporary tattooing technique that lasts up to 14 days on the skin and up to 5 weeks on the skin. Your eyebrows are designed and measured to suit your preference and face shape, and the Henna is applied to dye the skin and the brow hairs.
The Henna used at Oh Hello You Beauty is Supercilium, which contains 88% natural Henna and is vegan. Supercilium Henna is made from the finest selected henna from India and produced in a cruelty-free and ecological environment.
The benefits:
Popular for those who don’t want to go for microblading or semi-permanent makeup but want to wake up with makeup as a temporary solution.
Prior to the treatment:
You’ll need to have a patch test at least 48 hours before your appointment
Henna Brows procedure:
The room will be sanitized before you arrive. When you arrive, we will go through the procedure, the desired outcome and health and safety which would have been discussed with you beforehand. You can ask as many questions as you wish before the treatment takes place. Age identification will be checked then you will read and sign the consent form before photos are taken. Your brow area will be cleansed with an oil-free makeup remover. Your brows will be measured and drawn onto your face with a wax pencil, you’ll be sat up to look at the shape and it can be altered until you’re happy. Once we have a finalised shape, you’ll have your bespoke Henna colour applied to your brows and it will develop over 20 minutes. Afterwards, the excess henna will be removed. Your brows will be waxed to define the brow shape. An after photo will be taken and all aftercare advice will be reiterated to you. Please ask any questions you have.

Frequently asked questions:
DOES SUPERCILIUM BROW HENNA CONTAIN PPD?
Yes. Almost all brow henna’s contain a very small amount of PPD. Some people are sensitive to this ingredient and an allergic reaction could occur, that is another reason why performing a patch test is necessary. PPD is a colorant, without this substance the colour remains red and is unable to stain. The ingredient is necessary for the creation of henna brows.
